Summer Reading Features Events on Thursdays and Fridays in July

Activity Schedule

Thurs., July 5, 12:30 p.m. Bingo. Open to children of any age. Several prizes will be awarded.

Fri., July 6, 10 a.m. Elsenpeter Marionettes performing Pinocchio. Event open to all ages. Sponsored by Friends of Bryan-Bennett Library.

Thursday, July 12, 12:30 p.m., Walmart Manager Frankie Travis and Walmart associates presenting Dr. Seuss’ Oh the Places You’ll Go. Walmart will give away a youth bicycle. Program suited for children grade 5 and younger.

Friday, July 13, Ashley Baldridge will present a story time for kindergarten and preschool children at 10 a.m. The Library will provide a light snack.

Thursday, July 19, 12:30 p.m. Mad Science of St. Louis, presenting Fire and Ice. This program is excellent for children of any age. The Friends of Bryan-Bennett Library are sponsoring the appearance of Mad Science.

Friday, July 20, Ashley Baldridge will present the story time for kindergarten and preschool children, 10 a.m.

Thursday, July 26, 12:30 p.m. University of Illinois Extension, Electricity Workshop. This program is best suited for grades 1 to 5.

Friday, July 27, 10 a.m. Master Gardeners Sue Alikonis and Pat McArdle will conduct a tour of  the Community Garden. Children of any age welcome.

 The Thursday and Friday events are open to the public. They have no admission fees. Preregistration is not required for these events. A beverage and light snack will be served at the Friday events.

Brown Bag Thursdays -- Participants of the Thursday events are encouraged to bring a snack and/or beverage. They can enjoy it in the air-conditioned gym from noon to 12:30.
