Bryan-Bennett Library

Library Policies

These policies and practices have been reviewed and approved by the Bryan-Bennett Library Board of Trustees.

The Bryan-Bennett Library Board of Trustees is dedicated to preserving a comfortable and useful facility for all area residents.  As a result, there are some guidelines which have been established and are designed to ensure a pleasant Library experience for all patrons.

Minors

All youngsters younger than age 8 must be accompanied by an adult.

Internet Usage

All Internet users must comply with the Library's internet usage policy.

Food or Beverage

Food and beverage are only allowed in the Library under circumstances approved by the Library Director.  An example of such an event is a Library-sponsored program.

Conduct

No profanity or loud noises are allowed in the facility. Individuals who are demonstrating a lack of respect for other patrons, the staff, or the facility will be asked to leave the premises.

Records

Bryan-Bennett Library patron records are kept confidential. The Library staff is committed to preserving patrons' rights under the Library Confidentiality Act.
